Whitney Way Thore Honors Babs On Her 78th Birthday

The Thore family has never been the same since Babs passed away. But even so, they’re determined to keep her memory alive and well. On Babs’ birthday this year, her daughter Whitney Way Thore shared they gathered together in her memory.

Babs Thore was always a fan-favorite cast member on My Big Fat Fabulous Life. As such, many Instagram followers appreciated the sweet post Whitney penned for her mom.

Whitney Way Thore Remembers Her Sweet Mother

Babs Thore passed away, but no one will forget her. On what would have been her 78th birthday, her family and friends gathered in her memory.

“Today would have been my mom’s 78th birthday,” Whitney began her Instagram post. “Dad and I had brunch with Erica and Beverly, who helped care for mom in her last year of life. Our family is thankful beyond measure for the two of them — for their expertise and for their genuine love and affection for my mother. On days like today when I miss my mom the most, I can remember the last year of her life as the best one we ever had as a family. I can remember all the triumphs big and small, all the fun, and all the laughter we all shared. We were so lucky. Thank you Erica and Beverly and happy birthday, Mommy! 🎈”

She attached a video of herself, Glenn, Beverly, and Erica posing together as “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest plays over.

“Just as I finished this caption, Dancing in the Moonlight came on the radio— and would you believe one of my favorite videos is of my mom and Erica singing this song and I was just thinking about it as I was writing this? 💫” the TLC star concluded.

MBFFL viewers miss Babs and wish she was still with the rest of the Thores. They left many kind words in the comments for the family, including:
