It seems that there is a new family member joining Amy Slaton’s household.

The 1000-Lb Sisters star recently shared a new TikTok showing off the new family member to her fans. While Amy seemed head over heels for the new arrival, several of her viewers found him incredibly offputting.

Amy Slaton Opens Her Home To New Family Member

1000-Lb Sisters fans know that Amy Slaton is a huge animal lover. Her beloved chihuahua Little Bit starred in the first several seasons of the show before sadly passing away from old age.

While no one could ever replace Little Bit, Amy has decided it’s time to open her home to a new pet. She’s absolutely in love with the creature, but fans aren’t quite so convinced.

The creature in question is a new pet tarantula whom Amy has affectionately dubbed “Fang.” She shared the spider online with her TikTok followers.

“Fang my strip knee tarantula,” Amy captioned her TikTok. The video features both video and stills of her new pet.

While 1000-Lb Sisters fans love seeing Amy Slaton happy, many TikTokers found Fang to be more creepy than cute. Fans wrote:

While Fang might not be very popular with Amy’s fans, he’s a perfect pet for the TLC star. As seen on the show, Amy Slaton and her family members absolutely love scary things. Halloween is their favorite holiday. And on top of that, Amy named her older son Gage after the Pet Sematary character and her younger son Glenn after The Walking Dead character.

It seems like Fang will fit in just fine with the rest of her household. However, her brother Chris and sisters Misty, Amanda, and Tammy haven’t weighed in yet. Time will tell if the rest of the siblings accept Fang.
