90 Day Fiancé star Anny Francisco recalled the day when she received the “worst news” about her baby son Adriel Hassan’s death. Robert Springs and Anny were first seen in 90 Day Fiancé season 7, after he proposed to the Dominican Republic woman on a cruise and got engaged to her within eight hours of their first meeting. Robert had a past full of red flags – he’d fathered five kids with four women. Nonetheless, Anny got married to Robert when she moved to the U.S. on her K-1 visa.

One year following her baby’s passing, Anny fondly remembered her baby with a painful message, writing, “A day like today they gave the worst news that changed my life forever.”
Anny said that losing her son has been “too painful” and “very few people” understand what she’s had to go through. “A child is like half of our heart and I do not wish nor my worst enemy to go through this,” she added. She spoke about how all material things in life can be recovered but never the loss of a loved one. She continued:

The messages didn’t stop there. “Sending you and your family prayers and love!” posted Darcey Silva. She told Anny her baby was now a little angel watching over her from heaven. Former 90 Day Fiancé star Debbie Johnson said her heart breaks for Anny. “It’s something that never goes away,” she added. Debbie spoke about knowing how Anny felt.

Debbie used to be married to a different man then. When her first husband was drafted and was between boot camp and being sent to Vietnam, Debbie gave birth to a baby that survived for only 90 minutes. When Anny first posted about her baby’s passing, she didn’t reveal exactly what happened to Adriel. It was assumed the baby had a heart condition. While addressing him as a fighter, Anny wrote that the 7-month-old’s heart couldn’t take it.

In late Sept of 2023, Anny shared another touching post about the son she tragically lost. Seeing the little baby swaddled up in a hospital blanket with his eyes closed underscores just what a great loss she experienced. As she and Robert try to come to terms with the type of heartbreak that never fades, they stay strong for each other. Anny remembered her angel Adriel (note: this post features an Instagram auto-translation to English), saying:
A day like today 9/7/2021 was born a great treasure that life gave me and took from me, my beautiful fatty, full of happiness for having you I never imagined that I would lose you so soon I always think of you every day of my life… I hope to see you again and hug you so beautiful my fatty, Mum loves you and you are always on my mind.
This post is so sincere, it’s wrenching. Just reading it evokes so many emotions. It’s enough to make a person cry. Anny seemed like a heartless gold digger sometimes while appearing in the 90DF franchise. However, there’s much more to her than the desire to get ahead. She is a real woman who’s a mom. She lost her child. The fact that her baby was so young and innocent makes Adriel’s passing all the more tragic. It’s the kind of loss that no parent should have to bear.
Clearly, Anny does have a heart. She’s often misunderstood because she has true diva energy. Anny’s an extremely confident woman. If she wants Robert to buy her clothes or whatever else she’s interested in, she just tells him to do it. If he says no, she gets mad. She’s extremely straightforward. He and Karine Staehle never had anything and that made all of their problems seem much worse. Anny wants a nice lifestyle and there’s nothing wrong with that, but her terrible loss taught her there are some things that money can’t buy. She perhaps needed to learn that lesson but not like this. It’s so easy to feel for Anny – she loved her baby.
