Amanda Halterman Lost Weight, Had Surgery
While the focus of 1000-Lb Sisters is on Tammy and Amy Slaton, Amanda joined in Season 4 after her divorce was finalized. She’d been married to Michael Halterman’s brother. TLC fans saw that she seemed like a strong person, but even strong characters can break down when it comes to matters of the heart.
Amanda Halterman, like Chris Combs, went for gastric surgery and she lost a lot of weight. TLC fans agreed that she looked amazing, and they hoped she’d find someone nice to love her. Like Amy, she played the field a bit, but RJ sounded very serious as she relocated to Florida for him. However, RJ allegedly went to visit with family and didn’t contact her for a whole month. In other words, he ghosted her and vaporized.
1000-Lb Sisters Star Splits, Weight An issue?
Recently, the TLC star took to TikTok and explained that it’s over. You can see the video further down in this article. She captioned it with, “#breakup #itisfinished accepting applications for my future husband.” The 1000-Lb Sisters star also spoke about how she “dreaded” having to make it. On Reddit, fans got ahold of the news and they discussed it.
One fan commented that Amanda Halterman is tough but feeling it. They wrote:
She’s putting on a tough front but it must have been extremely difficult and stressful to go through this after packing up and moving her entire life to Florida. And I wonder if she had to break the lease or if she’s still paying for the condo (I have a feeling RJ isn’t/wasn’t contributing anything).
Others also talked about her weight, and how matters of the heart are always an issue. One of them said, “Lordy these women just need to stay single, focus on their weight goals and family.”
What are the chances that Amanda will go crazy with grief and eat her way back to above-average size? It seems that she has a stronger personality than Tammy. And, Tammy didn’t backslide when her husband Caleb Willingham passed away. Probably, if Tammy can stick to her weight loss goals, Amanda will as well. These days, she’s back in Kentucky, with her relatives around to encourage her if necessary.
