1000-Lb Sisters star Chris Combs provided a happy update on his mental health amid his weight loss journey. With the popular reality TV show revolving around his well-known sisters, Chris has garnered significant support from the fans of 1000-Lb Sisters. He has struggled with his weight for most of his life, and his previous careers in the food industry weren’t helping. However, with the health risks he faced and wanting to do better, Chris documented his weight loss journey throughout 1000-Lb Sisters season 5. Meanwhile, he has been very open about his mental health lately after his weight loss transformation.

In an Instagram post by Dr. Eric Smith, the surgeon on 1000-Lb Sisters, the doctor shared an uplifting video of bariatric patients sharing their struggle with weight and mental health.

In the video, Chris revealed his gratitude for being able to share his story and inspire others. He went on to show a card that read, “Obesity stole from me my enjoyment of playing with my children.” However, after flipping the card, it read, “Bariatric surgery gave my life back to play & keep up with the grandkids.” Many other patients in the video shared how bariatric surgery had transformed their lives and mental health. Depression can significantly impact those struggling with obesity, and Dr. Eric acknowledged in his caption how mental health and obesity are “deeply connected.”
