Garrison Brown adored both his mother, Janelle Brown, and his father’s former second wife, Christine Brown. They had created a tight family unit with Janelle and Christine’s twelve children. It was clear that Garrison loved his siblings, two of them were even thinking of living with him. There was a scene where Gabriel and Gwendlyn had talked about signing leases and moving into his home. It made sense that he would welcome family in as he was almost pushed out by his father, Kody Brown.
During the pandemic, Garrison had moved in with his mother to save up for a down payment. He was working and had papers to allow him to go to his job. Unfortunately, Kody believed that Garrison and Gabriel were being unsafe and wanted them gone. The dissension did not end and then, in order to celebrate eventual holidays with Kody and his wife, Robyn Brown, the boys had to apologize. They would rather be with their other siblings, Janelle, and Christine Brown. So, did Kody ever mend fences with his son before he took his own life?
According to The Sun, an insider shared this:
“They were still estranged and sadly, never made up before Garrison died. I don’t think they had even spoken since Covid times. I know for a fact there was no buddy/buddy hangout or friendship. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time they saw each other. From what I know, the last time they really had an interaction was when they met up and had a big argument on camera.”
TMZ confirmed this to be true. When Janelle Brown spoke to the police, she shared that Kody Brown and Garrison were still estranged.

Since Garrison Brown’s death has been revealed, fans have attacked both Kody Brown and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown. They are lambasting the couple and ripping them apart, blaming them for Garrison’s untimely death at 25. Finally, a Reddit thread was started with followers asking fans to stop attacking Kody in particular. They believed this was not the time to add insult to injury as Kody was suffering enough. Hopefully, this will lead to reconciliation and a new perspective with his other children.
