90 Day Fiance star Big Ed has been one of the most controversial stars in the franchise for quite some time. The 59-year-old first appeared in 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days Season 4 with his girlfriend, Rose Vega. He quickly became popular for his appearance and was referred to by many as “No Neck Ed.” However, it seems Big Ed wants to end all the questions and criticisms regarding his appearance. 90 Day Fiance: How’s Big Ed Today?
Big Ed is presently sharing his story in 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 8. The latest episode featured his decision to call off his wedding with Liz Woods. One of his main reasons was the realization he had when Liz went off on him following his taco pasta incident. According to him, he saw something with his fiance that he may not be able to live with every day. Liz was also upset about his decision and expressed how much she still wanted to work on their future. But it seems Big Ed had enough.
During an interview, Big Ed shared the negative comments he’s been receiving about his appearance. According to the 90 Day Fiance star, he has been bullied a lot because of his neck, especially during his childhood. People would always stare at him, and he often got the interest of many due to his neck.
“They would call me ‘neckless’ and ‘no neck’ and ‘no neck Ed’ and everything under the sun, and it was very hurtful,” he said. However, he said that he began to work on developing his “entertainment side,” and eventually got accepted by people around him.
Big Ed also talked about the condition of his neck during the interview. According to the 90 Day Fiance star, he has a condition called Klippel-Feil syndrome, where bones in the neck are fused together. This also causes spinal abnormalities. But Big Ed’s condition didn’t stop him from living the life he wanted. He also said that he’s now embracing life with his condition and getting into weightlifting to boost his confidence even more.
