During the latest episode preview of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?Emily’s family expressed frustration regarding their Cameroonian wedding. They were shocked about some of their traditions, including one where Kobe’s family paid a “bride price” for Emily. According to Emily’s mother, Lisashe felt like she was selling her daughter.

“To me it felt like we were selling Emily,” she said before adding that she felt like Emily was no longer a part of their family. Her husband chimed in and said, “The word property is a very difficult word for us.”

During the same preview, Lisa further explained why she was upset about the Cameroonian wedding traditions. According to the 90 Day Fiance star, she’s aware that her daughter is already an adult and capable of making her own decisions. However, it won’t take away her role as a mother, especially after seeing her daughter look like she was bought for a price. “It feels like we’ve lost all control,” she added. Lisa also said she couldn’t accept that someone would call her daughter a “property.”
