Danielle Jbali on how much ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars get paid

In an interview Danielle did on June 16 with The Domenick Nati Show, she spoke about how little cast members get paid.

“I would say it’s around $10,000 if you’re in all the episodes for the season,” she said, which is $1,000 per episode.

Because cast members get paid so little, and they’re never sure how many episodes they’re going to be in, Danielle says she’s always tried to maintain a job.

“I still have my job. I’ve always had a job, even doing the show. I’ve always kept my job. I’ve never quit my job. I’ve always kept it because you can’t live off of not knowing if you’re gonna be filming again,” she said.

Additionally, Danielle says foreign cast members can’t get paid until they obtain a work permit.

“When the foreigner is in the U.S., the foreigner doesn’t get paid until after they get a work permit,” she said. But if the show films in the foreign cast member’s country of residence, then they get paid.

“I understand that if they film in another country the foreigner can get paid. But when they’re filming in the U.S., only the U.S. citizen gets paid unless they have the work permit,” said Danielle.

“When they get to the U.S., they’re not allowed to work until after they do the adjustment of status and get the work permit. But when they go overseas to film, like the other show, Before the 90 Days and The Other Way, they get paid because they’re in their country and they’re able to work,” she continued.

What happens when ’90 Day Fiancé’ stars break their NDA, according to Danielle Jbali

Danielle also spoke about 90 Day Fiancé NDAs. She says if a cast member breaks their NDA and says something they’re not supposed to, they don’t get their full payment.

“When I first started in 2014, we got half of it upfront and half of it at the end of the season. They hold it so if you break your NDA you don’t get the rest of your money,” she said.

Nati, who regularly interviews 90 Day Fiancé stars, says he’s had several cast members back out of interviews because they didn’t want to risk losing their final payment.

Danielle says the NDA lasts 9 months after the cast member’s final episode, but the reality stars typically still want to obey the guidelines afterward in case they become involved in another 90 Day Fiancé project.

“More likely they re-sign you after that for like specials. So you really can’t go talking off. I’ve done it long enough. I know what to not talk about,” she said.
