Karine and Paul Staehle, now divorced, appeared on “90 Day Fiancé” in 2017. He reportedly went missing in Brazil recently but reemerged a few days later. TLC

90 Day Fiancé stars Paul and Karine Staehle announced Monday the birth of their baby boy Pierre Martins Staehle. The reality show couple was previously very open about Karine’s “hard” pregnancy and took to Instagram to update followers with an adorable picture of the baby’s tiny hand clasping Karine’s.

Following the posting of the picture on the new mother’s Instagram story, Paul took to his own Instagram story to disclose that he had “violated” a non-disclosure agreement.

“I apologize. I apparently just violated our NDA and have been instructed to remove updates and no longer post,” the text read. “I truly apologize to leave everyone in the dark.”

It is unclear what caused the violation, but before the announcement of the NDA violation, Paul posted another black background, white text image on his Instagram story.

“Please stop asking my father how I am doing,” he wrote. “I am dead to him and it just really pisses him off.”

Despite the cryptic Instagram stories, both Paul and Karine provided an update on themselves and the new baby via a TLC press release. Pierre was born on Friday at 3:20 p.m. in Manaus, Brazil.

“I’m very happy, very excited,” new dad Paul said. “I’m also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad. Anyone can make a baby, but going through the day-to-day process of being a father is going to be a new experience.”

He added: “I’m very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure I do my absolute best for Pierre.”

Prior to the birth of her son, Karine had gone through complications in previous pregnancies, resulting in two miscarriages.

“I am fine, and happy, even with the hard time I have had,” Karine said. “And I am recovering well, but I am still very weak. It was super hard, but now everything is fine because the baby is calm and he is breastfeeding well.”
