Former 90 Day Fiancé star Corey Rathegeber’s new social media update hints at an exciting future for him and Evelin Villegas in the franchise.

90 Day Fiancé star Corey Rathgeber has given fans a shocking update about his marriage with Evelin Villegas. Corey and Evelin were introduced in The Other Way season 1 while she was still living with his family in the U.S. However, Corey soon packed his bags and left for Ecuador to start a tiki bar with her. There were rumors that Evelin had overstayed her visa. Corey and Evelin split briefly when Corey had an affair with a woman named Jenny. The couple reconciled quickly and married on TOW season 3 as they continued running their successful bar.

Corey posted an Instagram video captioned, “Big Updates” recently to reveal that she was called to the U.S. to be interviewed in regard to Evelin’s visa.

Corey wrote that he was “nervous and worried” because it was Evelin who was supposed to be interviewed in Ecuador instead. “So this is very strange,” Corey added. Meanwhile, Reddit user BodyRepresentative65 shared a screenshot of Corey’s IG caption highlighting something they thought was strange. The fan noticed how Corey used the hashtag #90dayfiancehappilyeverafter.

The fan added, “Looks like they are currently filming for HEA.” It appears Cody usually just tags 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way in his captions since it was the spin-off he was last seen on with Evelin. However, the fan believes this is the first time Corey has tagged HEA. “I can’t wait to see all of this go down hill next season!” they added. Meanwhile, in his video, Corey mentioned how if he didn’t pass the interview it could mean that Evelin’s visa would be denied. Evelin’s visa has been processing for three years now.

Corey and Evelin have been together for nearly a decade and have been married for five years. Corey and Evelin had a secret wedding in 2019 that they didn’t tell producers about. Fans had openly voiced their betrayal on the internet. Corey explained that they didn’t talk about it since Evelin wasn’t ready to tell her family. They weren’t sure if they were going to film again. In May 2023, Evelin confirmed that she was moving to America to make it her permanent home and was scared about the move.

Interestingly, Corey and Evelin also sparked split rumors in October 2023. Evelin had removed all photos of Corey from her Instagram page and changed her bio to reflect that she was single. Evelin was also not following Corey anymore, which further fueled speculation. Considering everything, Evelin may have just been reacting to an argument she had with Corey and not really divorcing him.
