1000-Lb Best Friends isn’t Vannessa Cross’ first appearance on TLC. Before the series aired, she and Meghan Crumpler were part of the Too Large cast.
During the course of Too Large and the earliest days of 1000-Lb Best Friends, Vannessa didn’t show much interest in weight loss or wellness at all. In fact, she even seemed pretty opposed to it at times.
However, she has since changed her mind. Vannessa Cross lost several loved ones due to poor lifestyle habits and didn’t want that future for herself or her sons.
“I’m rewatching the show and at first I thought [Vannessa] would be the one that failed miserably she’s killing right now and the one that did the best out of all 4 of them as in terms of still keeping the weight off!” a Redditor shared online this week.
