Fellow 1000-Lb Best Friends star Ashely Sutton just celebrated a birthday and fans noticed Vannessa didn’t acknowledge the occasion.

Vannessa Cross keeps her distance from the others
This wouldn’t be the first time 1000-Lb Best Friends viewers thought the girl gang split up. Even onscreen, Vannessa Cross seemed like she was starting to distance herself from the other women.
Of course, there’s also plenty going on behind the scenes that viewers don’t know about. It’s hard to determine what precisely happened, but at some point Vannessa Cross started limiting her time with the others.
On Ashely Sutton’s birthday, fans noticed that Vannessa didn’t acknowledge her co-star on social media.
“I know it’s still early in the day but… Vanessa hasn’t posted a happy birthday message to Ash yet… And Vanessas been posting all morning long on her story. Hm…” one Redditor wrote online.
Other Redditors thought the situation was definitely odd.
“I think the group blew apart when Vanessa became the only successful friend. Megan has lost some weight, but not a lot. Tina has lost some weight but not a lot. [Ashely] appears to not have lost a lot of weight after her second surgery. Looks like jealousy and excuses got in the way of their friendships,” one Reddit user replied.
However, there’s also been some speculation that Tina Arnold and Ashely Sutton are paid actresses.
“I don’t think that [Ashely] was ever really friends with the group. I think that was for the show. But I agree with you on the others,” another Redditor wrote.
1000-Lb Best Friends will be back on TLC before long
TLC recently confirmed 1000-Lb Best Friends will indeed return this year, but without Tina Arnold. So it’s likely only a matter of time until the other three women start promoting the new season on their own social media pages.
This will also likely mean the women will be forced to confront the situation and rumors head-on. Not long ago, Vannessa Cross and Meghan Crumpler posed for a photo together. It put the gossip to bed temporarily, but fans are definitely ready for answers now.
